EPSILON S.r.l.

In line with its policies in favour of the environment and health protection, Epsilon has decided to join the Consorzio Re.Media, a primary organization (“Sistema Collettivo”) in charge for the organization and management of RAEE/WEEE (Rifiuti da Apparecchiature Elettriche ed Elettroniche/Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) collections procedures.

Informations about the treatment of scraps of electrical and electronic equipment

The 2002/95/Ce directives about the limitation of use for some dangerous materials included    into the electrical and electronic equipment (RHOS) and the 2002/96/Ce directives on scraps derived from electrical and electronic equipment (RAEE) are applicable since the publication into the Gazzetta Ufficiale of the E.U. on February 13, 2003 and recognized in Italy by the Decreto Legislativo 25/07/2005 no.151 .

Primary scope of such a Decree is the protection of the environment and, for some specific types of equipment, of the human healt too, considering some dangerous material included. In such a way the improper use of the equipment itself or parts of it, is prevented.

From September 2007 onwards the manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment bear the costs of transport, treatment and recdycle of the RAEE.

It is mandatory for the end users to avoid scrapping the RAEE as garbage, as they have to support the specific scrap collection by delivering the RAEE to the Eco-areas inside the town, directly or through the collection services, when available. Lack is fulfilling such rules might be subject to administrative sanction.

For a clear and unambiguous identification of the equipment subjected to such mandatory rules, the symbol below shall appear on the equipment itself, or on its package, or into the included informative material:
